Connecting people with nature, inspiring stewardship of natural resources, and encouraging civic involvement, the Patterson Park Audubon Center has been actively involved in the community since 2002. The center provides education programming with schools, recreation centers, and after-school programs in Patterson Park. The education staff also provides public programs, including bird walks, Tiny Tot Safari programs for children 2–5 years old, and family and adult programs in the park. The center serves six of the elementary schools around Patterson Park, three different after-school programs, as well as four Baltimore City Public High Schools. The center also has many partnerships with the community around the park and hosts stewardship opportunities for the schools and local communities.
