Bunny BonanZOO Egg Hunt
The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore welcomes spring with their annual three-day egg hunts that occurs at multiple times throughout the weekend. The eggs are hidden all over the fields of the Waterfowl Lake Pavilion near the main entrance. Children 12 and under are welcome to participate in the egg hunt and related games and activities. Butcher’s Hill Spring Flea Market and Craft Fair
At the Butcher’s Hill Flea Market and Craft Fair in May, visitors will find vendors with flea market items and creative works for sale. The Butchers Hill Association will sell food and beverages, while families will enjoy music and activities for the kids. For more information, visit the Butcher’s Hill Association website.  

DBFA Egg Hunt
Each year on the weekend before Easter Sunday, children and their families are invited to Patterson Park to hunt for eggs with fellow neighbors. In past years, the event has also offered arts and crafts, face painting, balloon animals, and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny.   

Charles Village Festival
The Charles Village Festival is a family-friendly, annual celebration of urban living held in early June at Wyman Park. Visitors will hear live continuous music from jazz to rock to instrumental, while enjoying traditional festival foods and beverages and browsing jewelry, clothing, and art at vendor booths. Visitors will look forward to the annual Garden Walk, and families will enjoy the Village Learning Place where kids can make crafts, play games, and jump in the ever-popular moon bounce. Federal Hill Spring Block Party
Every spring, Federal Hill throws a neighborhood celebration that showcases local talent, offers great food, arts and crafts, and provides the opportunity to mingle with area residents. Fell’s Point Privateer Day Festival
Fell’s Point Main Street organizes the annual Privateer Day in April. Held on the Broadway Square, Broadway Pier, Ann Street Pier, and Bond Street Wharf Park, visitors will experience pirate storytellers; children’s pirate-themed activities, cruises, and storytelling on the pirate ship Fearless; live music; and food and beverages.  

Flower Mart
In celebration of springtime in Baltimore, Flower Mart attracts thousands of area residents to Mount Vernon every May. Located around the Washington Monument at Charles and Monument Streets, this family-friendly event is packed with a multitude of food, artisans and craftsmen, and garden vendors, in addition to live dance and vocal performances from school choruses to rock bands to Irish dancing. Enjoy an array of annual and perennial flowers, seeds, vegetable plants for sale, and make sure the kids pick up a lemon stick—just one of Flower Mart’s annual traditions.  

Preakness Celebration
The Preakness Celebration produces a series of events throughout Baltimore to celebrate horse racing’s famed Triple Crown thoroughbred race, the Preakness Stakes. The celebration includes hot air balloon ascensions and glows, block parties, the Westside Parade, the Preakness 5-K Run at Pimlico, and other exciting festivities, most of which are free and open to the public. Taking place on Pratt and Eutaw streets, spectators can watch the nighttime Preakness Parade of Lights with illuminated floats, bands, equestrian units, and special guests. Even young jockeys have a “Preakness” of their own, racing to the finish line on bouncy hippity hops at MECU’s Pee Wee Preakness, located at Federal Hill Park on Warren Street near Battery Avenue.
