Emmanuel Episcopal Church

Emmanuel Episcopal offers a Sunday school program during the 10:30 a.m. Liturgy. Children sit with their families during the first reading before following the acolytes out of church for chapel and class. Three classrooms accommodate children ages 5 and under, 6–8, and 9–11 years old. Discussion groups for preteens and teenagers meet on the third Sunday of each month. These students remain in church through the sermon and leave to discuss interpretations and content of the readings with an adult group leader.

First and Franklin Street Presbyterian Church

First and Franklin offers children's programs for ages 4–10 and child care services for younger children and babies during their 10:00 a.m. worship. The church also hosts an annual family picnic in the summer.

First Unitarian Church of Baltimore

First Unitarian Church welcomes infants and children during church services. The nursery is also available for infants and toddlers through age 2. Sunday school classes are available for all children ages 3 and up. The church also offers the Religious Education Program for Children and Youth that focuses on what it means to be a Unitarian Universalist. This program is available from prekindergarten through the twelfth grade.

Grace and St. Peter's Church

Grace and St. Peter's Church is an Anglo Catholic parish located in the historic Mount Vernon neighborhood. Matins and Low Mass takes place on Sundays at 7:45 a.m., confessions are at 9:30 a.m., and the High Mass and Sermon begin at 10 a.m., followed by a coffee hour. The church runs the only independent Episcopal school located in the heart of Baltimore. Grace and St. Peter's School is a coeducational day school educating children from 3 years old through the fifth grade, welcoming families of all faiths.

Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation

The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation offers religious instruction in Sunday school to children after the Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. Children sit in pews designated for Sunday school grades and classroom instruction will begin after the Gospel reading and priestly homily. The church’s HOPE program for ages 5–8 and JOY program for ages 9–12 provide solid foundations in the Orthodox faith and include retreats, field trips, and the Winter Bible Camp. The church also runs the Chesapeake Youth Council Annual Summer Camp and the Annunciation Dance Groups for ages 6–18.

Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church

On Sundays during the worship service, Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church offers Sunday school for children ages 4–10 and a nursery for babies and toddlers. On Saturday evenings the church hosts the Carpenter’s Kitchen, where families may bring their older children to help serve food to the homeless.

Saint Ignatius Church

Located next to the community-erected Mount Vernon Playground, Saint Ignatius Church is a unique Jesuit parish offering Sunday family mass at 9 a.m., followed by adult service and Sunday school for children and youth in grades pre-K through 12. The church holds youth group services, an annual picnic, and assists in feeding the homeless on Saturdays and Sundays.
