First-Time Moms Group [back to top]

Do you have a new baby who is 1 to 10 weeks old?*

DBFA and Messiah Church** are kicking off a new nine-week group for first-time moms and their infants in Southeast Baltimore starting May 5, 2009.

The weekly group discussion will be facilitated by Margie Kay, RN, a Certified Childbirth Educator and Board Certified Lactation Consultant.

The sessions will cover topics related to various health and social aspects of new motherhood, such as breastfeeding, infant feeding and sleeping, developmental stages of infants, maternal health, returning to work, and more. The sessions also provide an excellent way to connect with other mothers in your neighborhood with babies the same age.

Nine Tuesdays, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
May 5 through June 30, 2009
Messiah Church in O'Donnell Square in Canton
1025 S. Potomac Street, Baltimore MD 21224

A one time contribution of $10 is suggested and will be collected at the first session.

Limited to 20 participants. Sign-up early using the form below to secure a spot in this session.

Questions? socialnetworking@dbfam.org.

*This is a pilot program beginning in Southeast Baltimore that may be expanded to other downtown neighborhoods.

**This program does not include a religious component. Messiah Church is a small, open, and warm spiritual community with 118 years of service to the neighborhoods of Southeast Baltimore.
