  • Connection. We believe that when downtown families are connected to one another and to their communities, they are better parents who are more committed to city life and to local education.
  • Collaboration. We believe that by acting collaboratively, in partnership with various entities, downtown families can have a powerful impact on the quality of life in their own communities.
  • Diversity. We believe that when families of different backgrounds work together to create a sustainable community that supports economically and racially diverse populations, all parties —especially children —benefit from the diverse community that results.
  • Urban Life. We believe that a densely populated urban environment provides distinct benefits for families with children, including ethnic and cultural variety, environmental sustainability, proximity to cultural institutions and events, and participation in lively, close-knit neighborhoods where families know one another and form authentic relationships.
  • The Local. We believe in supporting local economies as the route to a sustainable downtown district and in a strong, symbiotic relationship between families and local business.
